Nokuti Mwari wakada nyika nokudaro, kuti wakapa Mwanakomana wake wakaberekwa mumwe woga, kuti aninani unotenda kwaari, arege kuparara, asi ave novupenyu bwusingaperi.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Rudo runomoyo murefu, runomoyo munyoro; rudo harunegodo; rudo harunamanyawi, haruzvikudzi;

Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

Zvino kutenda, netariro, norudo, zvitatu izvi, ndizvo zvinogara; asi chikuru pakati pazvo ndirwo rudo.

And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

Vadikanwa, ngatidane; nokuti rudo runobva kunaMwari, mumwe nomumwe, unoda, wakaberekwa naMwari, unoziva Mwari.

Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

Rudo ngarurege kuva nokunyengera. Vengai zvakaipa; namatirai zvakanaka.

Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.
